Bazil was such a sweet natured and sometimes sassy boy and would never hurt a fly. Up until the last few years we treasured our walks on the bike trail with him. He eventually lost most of his eyesight but always knew when you were eating or a piece of food had dropped to the floor. Our most favorite story about him is the time we left two pounds of sausage on the kitchen counter. Yup, he snatched it all up and within a matter of 30 seconds….all of it gone. He definitely was a foodie. Even up until the day before we had to put him down, he was eating a concoction of chicken, rice and carrots.
It’s hard for me to talk about him without getting weepy. We still miss him so much. I swear I still hear him in the house at times.
