Martha roared into our lives in November 2012, thanks to SOAR. The decision to adopt came slowly to us after the loss of one of our two ‘dale boys. Our ‘dale, Smitty, needed a companion – we chose Martha. Her smiling face said it all.
The first couple of weeks were very eventful. Martha “wanted” to be in charge of everything – she got over that!!
There is so much to do on the farm – gator rides and exploring the meadow and woods. And of course there’s shopping to do nearly every day. Martha and Smitty are famous or infamous in our little town. Kroger, CVS, McDonalds, lumber yard, bank, farmers’ market, and every drive thru – they have their fans. Martha is quite the shopper at the pet store. She’s very stylish in her new pink coat. New toys aren’t manufactured fast enough for her.

Adoption was the wisest and most rewarding thing we’ve ever done. Martha’s energy is infectious to our whole family…every day is a treat with our new driving force – MISS MARTHA MAE.
