Isabelle Burnside Vollrath

94, of Indianapolis, passed away on July 23, 2016. She was born May 11, 1922 in Shelbyville, Indiana to Edgehill and Ruth (Gordon) Burnside. She married Dr. Victor J. Vollrath, who preceded her in passing on November 10, 2013.Isabelle is survived by her daughters Jean Ann Vollrath Talbott and Dona Sue (Bob) Taylor; eight grandchildren- Melissa Roberts (Mark) Greiner, Elizabeth Roberts (Kent) Jolly, Emily Roberts (Mark) Sullivan, Matthew Talbott, Jesse Talbott, Ben Talbott, and Gregory Taylor and Samuel Taylor; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her daughter and son-in-law Ruth Marie (Larry) Roberts.

Isabelle was known for her gardening, generosity, grace and wit. Her strength of character was fueled by her faith in Jesus Christ as Saviour.

Services will be held at 12 noon on Friday, August 5, 2016, at Flanner and Buchanan – Carmel, 325 East Carmel Drive. Visitation will be from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home.
