A Real Sweetheart

SOAR received a call from the Humane Society in Michigan about an Airedale taken in as a stray that needed to go to rescue. They told us they thought she was around 8 years old and probably had hip dysplasia because she bunny-hopped. Upon getting her into rescue and having her looked at by a vet, it was discovered that she was probably more like 5 years old and more than likely had a birth defect than hip dysplasia. She actually hops on her front feet!

Thanks to Lynn O'Shaughnessy for picking Katie up, getting her vetted, fostering her short term and getting her to her new home. Huge thanks to Camp BowWow of Brighton, Michigan for keeping Katie for 4 days where she got to play with other dogs all day long! Everyone who knew about Katie had fun watching her on the Camp BowWow CamperCam. You guys were super!

You can read more about Katie’s complete story by clicking here. As we receive updates, we will post them to these special Web pages.
