Farewell to Quinn

Adopting a senior dog is an act of pure, unselfish love. Old dogs often come with silly quirks, cloudy eyes, and unknown health issues. Some endure many years of medical and emotional neglect.  altSo begins the story of Quinn...

Quinn was approximately nine years old when she came into rescue, blinded in one eye from abuse at her previous home and suffering from infected ears, skin issues, and all sorts of health issues from years of neglect.

She was a scraggly mess but she thought she was beautiful - and so did Denise and Harry Link!

After a month or so of loving care from her foster mom, Sandi Sprankle, Quinn was ready to go to her forever home with the Link family.

For the next couple of years Quinn was happy to be the princess of her new palace helping to keep the counters clean and training her new humans. Her sister, Biscuit, also a rescue, didn't really know how to play before Quinn joined the family. The two immediately bonded and got along like two peas in a pod. Quinn was finally at peace in a home where she was loved and cared for. The life she’d dreamed of was finally hers!

Quinn was a kind girl with a gentle soul. Everyone who met her, loved her.

On October 3rd the Link family had to bid farewell to Quinn as her heart could no longer keep up with her spirit. She soared across the Rainbow Bridge.

We would like to express our deepest condolences and gratitude to the Link family for opening their hearts and home to Quinn.
